Takeover completed
Everton Football Club has officially been acquired by The Friedkin Group, led by American billionaire Dan Friedkin, concluding Farhad Moshiri’s eight-year ownership. The deal, valued between £250 million and £300 million, has received approval from the Premier League and other regulatory bodies.
The new ownership aims to bring immediate financial stability to the club by reducing existing debts and focusing on strategic investments in both the men’s and women’s teams, as well as the youth academy. Plans are also in place to complete Everton’s new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, scheduled to open ahead of the 2025-26 season.
In the Carabao Cup (EFL Cup), Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Liverpool have advanced to the semi-finals following their quarter-final victories. Key performances included goals from Gabriel Jesus for Arsenal, Sandro Tonali for Newcastle, and Darwin Núñez for Liverpool.
